Serious question

In deed they do have like antics. That said, there is still a road to travel for Bruce Pearl to go down as one of the top college coaches of all time, as is Spurrier in my opinion.

Again I disagree - they have "antics" in common - they both use antics and those antics are likely to anger opposing fans. But the antics are quite different. As stated above, Pearl's tend to be more playful and spontaneous. They also are directed at his own players and fans.

Spurrier's comments typically are shots at other teams. Kind of like Houston Nutt doing the downward "hook'em horns" at the Texas student section after beating them. Or Tubberville making comments about how UA hasn't beaten Auburn in Tuscaloosa for 100 years (or whatever he said).

Being animated on the sideline and throwing articles of clothing applies to at least a 1/3 of college basketball coaches.

There is a long list of coaches that exhibit "antics" - especially in basketball.

If Pearl was saying Memphis didn't really beat us, we beat ourselves or if he did the "the Gator chomp" after the UF game, etc. then I think the comparison would make more sense.

As a final thought on this (I'll try to stick to my word :p ), take Pearl's actions at Georgia. He wanted to reward the fans for traveling and went up into the stands. Since that time, the program has initiated an apology (Hamilton and Pearl) for putting UGA in a bad spot.

I don't remember Spurrier making similar apologies.

Bottomline, the styles of these two coaches have as many differences as similarities.

I think both coaches have confidence in their coaching abilities.I think the players have confidence in them as well.

arrogance vs confidence sets the 2 apart in my mind (you guess which goes with which and your guess for arrogance wears a visor)

Seriously, let's hear it. If you could trade Fulmer for Spurrier right now, would you do it? Be honest.

Not in this lifetime. Spurrier will never coach at UT! The turncoat is not wanted at UT or by any intelligent UT Fan!

I really did not mean to get emotions running THIS high. Just an observation about similar temperaments between the two. I haven't seen Pearl enough to know if he is going to be at the antagonistic level of Spurrier. Does seem well on his way, though. LOL.

Sure you didn't.
I'd love to see you working in front of a trial judge(?). Better yet, I'd like to know your won/loss record of cases tried.
