If most every columnist and talk show host in the country is saying UT is the best job available, how is it that the best that we can hire is the names that were hearing?

Because none of us know anything. No one on Twitter, no one on Vol Nation, no one in the traditional media. Going to need multiple confirmations from legit news media on anything we've "narrowed".

It may be that we wind up with one of these three, but its just as likely to be completely different. New AD, new process that no one can follow yet.

Who is better? Who has hired better? We're the best open job, be reasonable, we are not gong to steal a huge name away from a big school it's just not done....

key word: best AVAILABLE job. We're the best program that's currently looking for a coach. That doesn't mean that coaches at better programs are going to take our job

I think Strong is the biggest name on the market, he's not my first choice, but he's the most wanted coach in cfb.

That will come here.

NOBODY knows but Hart. Nobody.
All these "my guy at UT" know no more than anyone else.
I'll believe nothing until Hart announces.

That's what "my guy" at UT said. :)

its about the coaches that are available too, not just the job.

my top two of the available coaches is..

Gary P. from TCU
and Strong

I think we get strong and he will be a good fit in the SEC.

Agree! And people who are getting angry at Hart because of him letting the "Gruden deal" fall through based on stories and rumors of there even being a "deal" to begin with are driving me bonkers. There is no conspiracy theory...there is no magic smoke screen and mirrors...it's simply an AD at a prominent program conducting a national search to fill a huge job...with competition in the same conference. He is smart to be so tight lipped.
