I'm not defending any one quarterback in this question, but, we're all aware that Dobbs is having issues. But, here on VN, everyone seems to think that Ferguson is now the next coming of Peyton (figuratively).
So my question is, what evidence do you all have that Ferguson is going to be that much better than Dobbs, other than the fact that CBJ chose to burn Dobbs's RS vs. Ferguson's? No one has seen Ferg play at this level, and Dobbs has had to start as a freshman QB in a lion's den, sans last night vs. Vandy.
I'm just wondering why all the "expected" hype around Ferg. And, admittedly, I don't know any more about those two QBs than what we all knew from their HS film and recruitment ratings. Is it all just opinion being misrepresented as fact because most of us are sick of seeing poor QB play that we, by default, assume Ferg is going to be great and then state it on VN?
My mind is just a'wandering with this question right now. And FTR, my opinion is, let's let Dobbs get the season overwith before we burn him at the stake (unless, of course, he doesn't beat UK... then, well... :blink
. Then, and I pray to the Almighty that losing to UK doesn't happen, we can start looking at Ferg for next year.
:hi:
