Someone who isn't me has been very distressed about the incompatibility with TPB's utorrent/magnet links being down while the site and search is still up.

Awesome. What's great about the cyber war that seems to be looming is that the government/huge companies stand no chance against the hackers. Love it.

that's not really true. The average user (which is a huge %) will still lose out no matter which way it goes. Those with knowledge will always find some small backdoor but it won't matter for most since the overboard crackdown will surely hurt

it's also laughable that they think this would work. Could it? Sure but it would take an amazing amount of resources

From the article, it sounded as though it wouldnt be that expensive. Im not familiar with drone technology or how it would be used in this case, but the article mentioned a couple of times the word inexpensive when talking about it.

I understand what they claim but in no way believe networking/powering a bunch of flying drones and giving access to all their customers would be cheap. Also good luck to them when the FAA (or equivalent) starts seeing them show up several km in the air. It's a ruse

I dont think the FAA has jurisdiction in the air over international waters....could be wrong about that.

they have to land sometime and unless TPB is also planning to have carriers then there will be an issue

Im not sure why they dont just set up barges in international waters, unless there is a legal snag that Im not thinking about here.

It is comical, I agree. A 15 year old kid can outwit the govt.....
