Tobias Harris, Tennessee – “He should have gone back to school and lost some weight (223 pounds). He can rebound it and push it like a point forward, but his shot is a little funny”

Scotty Hopson, Tennessee — “He worked out for us and was just OK. His size, his length, his athleticism — it’s all good, but sometimes he floats like he doesn’t care.”

Sounds like Seth has been fishing around VN...especially on the Scotty analysis.

Floating like he doesn't care... I agree, but if that is HIS biggest knock on Scotty... He's a first rounder. Effort can be taught IMO.

Scotty's handles are his biggest liability. Everything else can be imbedded in him with good coaching. Handles for someone 6'6" or taller is something that is harder to teach. He needs to cup the ball on his way to the rack though. The "continuation" or 3rd step will help him tremendously as well. His ability to absorb contact and still finish is a good quality to go along with his length and athleticism.

Go Vols!!!

Seth Davis wrote the article, but the information is all paraphrasing from NBA scouts fyi...

These breakdowns are NOT Seth Davis's opinions.

You teach effort to middle schoolers, not juniors in college trying to get drafted to the NBA.

You literally have no clue what you are talking about.

Cost Hopson any chance at being drafted. Waste of all that talent.

If he hasn't learned to give it all he has by now, his chances are slim. (Keep in mind that I'm not saying he doesn't know....although it sure appears as though he "glides")
