Clark took the reins at Appy State after Satterfield went to Cincy and Dorkwitz went to Mizzou. The writing was on the wall for him this year I think, but he’s still a heck of an OL coach and I haven’t forgotten App taking us to OT in 2016 when he was still their line coach. PFF raved about his guys back then. Wouldn’t shock me to see him land somewhere relatively quickly.

I’ve got a soft spot for App. Had some good friends going there in the 90s and I had a lot of fun weekends in Boone. That town used to seriously get up for a Marshall game when they were both FCS and it’s great they’re conference rivals again in the Sun Belt. As far as Clark I’ve always kind of earmarked him as a guy to keep an eye on. I’d love to see him get a shot as a line coach at a big program.

That's App St's first miss on a head coach in a very long time, and it isn't like he was terrible.

I have had a few relatives that worked at Appalachian State and this has always been a very under rated job.

They beat Michigan and have come close to knocking off other P5 universities.

Wasn't he the coach at Georgia St when they beat a Pruitt coached Tennessee team in 2019.
