Coach Mark Richt doesn't think Shockley will need surgery or miss the rest of the season, but he's doubtful for the annual "Cocktail Party" game against bitter rival Florida next weekend.

"We're expecting to get him back this season," Richt said. "We just don't know when."

Shockley's roommate, Tyson Browning, and his father, Don Shockley, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that team doctors said Shockley had suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament. Team doctor Ron Courson wouldn't comment on the injury.

So Tereshinski will spend the upcoming week preparing for his first career start against a team the Bulldogs have beaten only twice in the last 15 meetings.

"We can still accomplish our goals. We will accomplish our goals," nose tackle Ray Gant vowed. "No one man makes the Georgia Bulldogs."

Hell, looks like UF/UGA might end up looking like UT/UA.

I'll take the under at 15!

Has the world gone mad? Combined Big Ten scores are in the 70's while SEC games are in the 30's.

Good point. Except for a few games here and there, the SEC games have been real defensive battles. I think SEC coaches are really putting a lot of their speed and talent on the defensive side of the ball these days. You know, taking high school tight ends and turning them into linebackers.

Yeah this game will be very low scoring. Hope Shockley returns ASAP. I love beating the Dawgs at full strength...plus Shockley has a knack for completing passes to our secondary!

Other than UF's blow-out of my Wildcats (alum), has any SEC team put up big #'s against an SEC opponent?

The only one I can think of that comes close is Bama's blowout of Florida. I think we also put up some pretty good numbers on LSU.

Has the SEC has returned to the pre-Spurrier days of defense and two yards and a cloud of dust?

I don't know if it's that or SEC teams losing a lot of offensive skill on offense last year and all the coaching changes.
