This is not sour grapes, because in no way do I think TN deserved to win that game today (MSU displayed more effort, intensity, and composure), but I'm always annoyed with how a guy with a rep for blocking shots constantly gets the benefit of the doubt. You can't tell me there wasn't contact on A LOT of Varnado's blocks and altered shots, while TN was called for fouls on most of its contested shots inside. I know the guy's a good shot blocker, but it seems like the refs just assume if he gets part of the ball it's clean. I'd probably feel differently if TN had a guy like that.

I thought the same thing...I guess it's like Kobe and LeBron getting the calls in the NBA sort of thing.

State was smart to sit V last part of the 1st half and he showed up in 2nd half. Our guys didn't. MSU deserved to win this one.

Bruce Pearl warned everyone in his pre-game interview that he was getting a lot of blocks and fouling without fouls being called. He was right. It's just retarded.

He had 4 fouls in the first 3 games.

Thanks for the post. I figured it was just me.
