A couple of co-workers and myself had this discussion about USC yestrday. My opinion is if your on post season ban like USC you shouldn't be able to be nationaly ranked, takes away from teams that maybe deserve it and can play in the posteason. What's your opinions?

If they're one of the best 25 teams in the country, why should they not be ranked? AP rankings mean nothing.

Regardless, our spiteful fans will blindly vote no, and remain par for the course.

I vote yes.

Just because the Trogans can't play in a meaningless bowl game means they can't be one of the 25 best college teams? Please.

Yes, we may soon be among the banned - if certain allegations are true.

They almost have to be. It effects the entire conference and everyone they face. If Oregon rolls into Troy and defeats a ranked SC team, should they not get credit for that?

Rank em all I say.

It's the AP poll, it doesn't mean a thing anymore other maybe to make espn feel good at this point

If they're good enough, absolutely. They won't be voted National Champions anyway since there's no bowl game. I'm sure Oregon fans would agree if they beat USC.

It still does. Whoever the ap votes #1 at the end of the season is every bit as legit of a national champ as whoever the bcs determines. It's all a beauty contest.

Are the trogans banned from the bcs poll though? Thats not fair to say, Oregon if the ducks go into la and beat them and not have it be counted as a win over a ranked team.
