Should there be a college football playoff?

I understand why none of the ADs want a playoff. After all, they're making hella money. But, it boggles my mind when I hear fans and writers say there shouldn't be one.

This Hutchinson d-bag saying that there is already a de facto playoff system in place and "almost everyone agrees that the bowl games are the highlight of the winter months" are you freaking kidding me?! Yeah, I love the Sun Bowl! It's so great! Bowl games only interest degenerate gamblers. There, I said my peace.

I like 8 teams but I will settle for the Plus 1. It will still be light years better than what we have.

The "regular season is a playoff" was already proven to be BS in 2004. When the SEC Champion goes undefeated and doesn't get to play for the NC, then there's a huge problem. The bowls are now a joke since we have now have one for almost every .500 team, but that's not even the dumbest part of the argument. The dumb part of that argument is even with a playoff of some sort, the bowls won't be going anywhere. We're talking 4 teams....plenty of teams left to fill the bowls. The bowl argument is about retarded.

Maybe, but I don't buy it affects the regular season really. Even with 8 teams you lose more than 1 game, you're still in serious danger of not getting into the 8 team playoff, which is really no different than the BCS.

A plus one would be the next logical step. We can go from there as far as whether a full four or two team playoff should be installed.
