Everywhere I look is negative comments. UT tried and many coaches passed them up. Sure he's not a 1st choice, but we got we got and we don't need to judge just yet. The next couple of years aren't going to be anything spectacular as he recruits his guys and with Bray most assuredly gone. I only pray he's smart enough to get a good DC. But let's not throw him in the ditch yet. It is what it is and let's supporrt Hart and Jones. Who knows?

Please do not try and treat the people here like children. Everyone has different opinions. If you do not like what you read here, simply go somewhere else!

don't believe hes trying to treat anyone like children alot of negavols are acting like children all by themselves...all he is saying is that it makes volnation and vols as a team.school,fanbase etc look like a joke...either support the coach or find a new school to support...can't be mad at coach jones for taking a job...blame cheeks and hart!!

I wish all you sunshine pumpers would get real. You attack the realists and call them negavols or "not real fans". We have seen this before and know how it plays out. We simply DO NOT have 3 years to wait to be relevant. Our program was at a place where we had to hire someone who could win and win now and Hart and Company did not get us that. Remember, those who do not learn from past mistakes (Dooley) are doomed to repeat them (Jones).

The fact that no one wanted to coach here -- which I personally don't believe -- is squarely on the shoulders of Hart and Cheek. They were negative about the University from the very beginning. I was amazed at the negative vibe I got from Hart at the press conference. You can't be a good salesman if you don't believe in what you are selling. That is the problem! If they were purposely trying to make the University of Tennessee and their loyal fanbase look ridiculous in the national media, they could not have done a better job. Anyone making the money and wielding the power that these men have should have managed this entire situation better.

Out-coached by Dooley? Are you kidding me? OMG -- I am so unbelievably disappointed. Sorry -- but I have got to get away from this for awhile. I can't believe that the people making these decisions seem to be the ones who care the least. I am sad for the students and alumni and furious at the so-called "boosters" and anyone else who could have stepped in and stopped this or at least said something. Where are these people? Where have they been for the last 3 weeks?

He is our coach because Hart knew from a PR standpoint we couldn't have another public rejection, so he hired the guy who he knew wouldn't say no. If he hires a solid staff, I'll be supportive. If he brings his staff from CMU and Cincy count me in with the negavol crowd.

Bingo...I will support Coach Jones and this team but I'm highly disappointed in our whole AD...Only time can tell how good ole Butchy will be.

its great ant it these people r never gonna be satisfied it doesnt matter who we end up with at any point in time there gonna do nothin but complain thats what they do

I met my husband in 2006 and that is when I became a member of the Vols family, so I have been cheering them on in the worst of times. I still wear my orange and look forward to seeing them play at Neyland Stadium and away games. I am hoping Butch Jones does a great job and returns our Vols back to winning seasons. I am willing to give the man a chance and see what he can do. If some of you are not happy about the hire that is understandable and there are over 100 other teams you can pull for. Me & my husband will continue to bleed orange - GO VOLS!!!

If you aren't disappointed then you aren't a VFL. We settled for mediocrity. Period. Call me a negavol BS but this is the garbage people have complained about the last two years! I've been a VOL fan since I was born and I swear I bleed orange when you cut me and I've never been so disappointed in our athletic department. Hart is living on a prayer with a guy who's a 66% winning coach in joke conferences. I hope this makes me look like a fool and Jones dominates but there is not much facts to make me think otherwise. Hart has truly let us down IMO and this was a horrible hire for the time we had to get a coach. Hart got played and made many people rich because of it in the process.
