I was planning on stopping in Strawberry Plains and catching a shuttle from one of the hotels to the game. I will be coming from Kingsport. I have done this many times in the past. Currently the hotels there are telling me the bus company has a new owner. The hotels say they have not been given arrival times for the busses tomorrow. Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on? Any ideas where l catch a ride?
Thanks.

Recall the days when the P.O.T.S. Band marched down Andy Hold Ave. before turning onto Philip Fulmer Way; to stand at the corner & watch those KTA buses manuever around the throng of Vol fans. Folks would get their whiskers brushed by those big bus mirrors.
Noticed they stopped running the Farragut shuttle bus. Wonder why? Seems a shame.

The shuttle service from the coliseum absolutely sucked. Stood in line for 30 minutes to get to the stadium. Very few buses running. Line to get back was almost to stadium when we left. Ended up riding to Market Square then walked rest of the way. Zero excuse for them to be that slow

Found a place to park in the boonies. Walked a very long way, but did enjoy the game. I sure hope they get this shuttle business straightened out. Looks like a good business opportunity for someone. Seems like a lot of cash is being left on the table. A Service very much in demand on game day.

Wonder how many churches around Knoxville have buses...seems like a good fundraising opportunity.

I’ve been going to games for 30 plus yrs and from Nashville since 2006. I don’t recall 40 E being backed up in b/t Knox and Oak Ridge. I’ve never seen 40 backed up they far, and they included the 2022 Bama game etc.

Today was a cluster .. show w traffic, getting into the stadium, and the heat. The heat made everything worse as I ended up parking a mile past university commons. That’s one long haul.

The local hotels are missing a prime opportunity to get good pub by not offering free shuttle service to home games in their weekend perk packages.

Me and my friend are both 65 years old. It was quite a hike for us to get to the game after parking near I 40. Looks like I’ll just stay home and watch from home until this shuttle problem is corrected.

My sibling and I drove up Friday afternoon from middle Tn and there were wrecks before Cookeville where we stopped to eat and then again before Crossville which really slowed us down. If we hadn't had prepaid reserved parking, we would have used the school bus service at the hotel you could pay for. Talked to someone whose premium parking space was moved to S-7 on Cumberland and they were OK with it. Returning after the game was fine. We sit in D 56 and were in the shade until mid 4th quarter which was very surprising and nice.

But the problem is the school bus service that you referenced is no longer available. That’s how are used to get to the games. It made it easy and convenient. That’s not the case yesterday.

There was a sign for the service at comfort suites at farragut and as we're leaving for the game the bus was most certainly pulling in the parking lot. I didn't see what was painted on the side of the bus. It could have been an old surplus bus that was purchased to be used for something else.

The KAT guy loading buses did say they were about 50 drivers short this year too. Still needs to be fixed before the next game

Very disappointed in KAT yesterday. Kept hearing how short-handed they are, but they are more than happy to keep taking people's money. Cutting out the Old City pick-up/drop off only created a bottle neck at the Colesium. The shortage of buses was inexcusable. In that heat, it was a safety issue, specifically for the young children and elderly. We actually did like some and took the bus back to Market Square and hoofed it to the Colesium, some people aren't able to do that. They shouldn't have to either, that's why they take the shuttle in the first place.
