It may be readin between the lines but based on what i have read I think they wanted to rank Tennessee #2. But the "Massive Injuries" and legal problems over the last month or so has them re evaluating how well TN will do. That list will change several times before the real season and if Tennessee gets healthy and back on track we will start the season #2. Just a hunch but I feel certain of it.

I agree, but they also may be giving Texas an incentive to stay in the BCS. I heard that Texas state officials were discussing pulling all Texas teams from the BCS bowl games until BCS rankings and officials get it straight.

Hmm... our second and third games of the season come against the #5 and #7 eams in the power rankings.

We'd better hit the ground running this fall!

Hey as long as we win I could care less what happens in the preseason. Lets get it done and get to the rose bowl.
