In the modern day era of internet and access to just about any topic that interests you, I wonder if there has been a decline in people subscribing to magazines. I like to read books and magazines personally, I dont like reading everything off the computer, thats why I just subscribed to espn the magazine. I use to get SI years ago and just let my subscription run out. Does anyone get these magz and what is your opinion ?

I used to get SI for years but, like you said, with the internet I just don't ever find myself reading them.

I got ESPN magazine the first year it was out. Hey, I'm one of few people who'll have the 1st issue. Have been a subscriber to SI for years -maybe at least 25. I enjoy it!

ESPN's magazine is too busy for me.
I agree. I subscribe to ESPN Insider, so I get the magazine, but I rarely read it. I think it's designed for people with ADD.

Yeah, ESPN is not designed very well. I have a subscription to both as well, but with the instantaneous nature of television and the internet, magazines are rendered obsolite, except for a few things such as interviews and large-scale expose's (see the SI covering Barry Bonds)

SI still does the best feature articles in the business. ESPN has some good writers, but not nearly as many as SI.

About 10 years ago I use to get ST and TSN but again with the net now what's the point? Although I still check out the SI swimsuit one :)
