Have you seen some of the players cars? It's a little odd when AJ is driving a 2012 Denali getting it repainted for no reason and adding 26" rims on it when he comes from a middle class living. Or a RB driving a new BMW? Coincidence I think not. It happens everywhere even Bama. What's funny is these kids put it all on twitter or other social media.

Perhaps you're unaware that a lot of these players get thousands of dollars a month in grant money.

Been going on for a 100 years why don't people shut the ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff up and we all throw a little in the pot to help the kids out when they get in school, not saying throw 100,000 grand at them, just enough to get by.:)

If he did get paid then part of the stipulations should have been him keeping his damn mouth shut! idk why any school would pay athletes considering that they're 17 years old & gonna go run their mouth like lil school girls the moment something happens that they don't like or agree with.

Unpublished as of yet but SI's digging into paying to play following up on Oklahoma State is going to print that Bryce Brown was paid to come to Tenn. Said when CLK left he went straight to Dooley and Dools told him it wasn't going to continue. Story says if he hadn't said anything to Dooley payments would have continued but Dooley stopped it. Since Dooley didn't report it or nothing came of it are we going to be hit wih lack of institutional control?

If he hadn't said anything to Dooley, who was going to continue paying him? I don't think it would have been CLK since he was no longer going to be here. This doesn't make sense to me.

Totally false rumor. Everyone knows kiff in wasn't a bank. He was a pimp

Most definitely like the 26's.

Even better question, what coach is stupid enough to go to another coach and say "oh hey by the way your star RB is getting paid money to play here, so keep up the good work with it" and hope that the new coach doesn't turn him? This story just seems all sorts of fishy.

Color me shocked if true.

Of course, since our name doesn't begin and end with the letter "A", we will probably get the death penalty! :banghead2:

.

Considering the way this team performed at Bama and Mizzou that would be considered an "act of mercy."

So you get a free education, everything paid for and you get thousands of dollars a month in grants? I would love to see some proof. Because if it is true then I wonder why players take money illegally?

bama and auburn have been the two worst cheaters in college football for decades. I very much doubt that has changed. I'll guarantee you there is underhanded stuff at bama--it's just mostly been kept under wraps thus far.

How can anyone on a full-ride scholarship qualify for a grant?

I looked it up.

Federal Pell Grants | Federal Student Aid

How much money can I get?

Amounts can change yearly. The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $5,645 for the 2013–14 award year (July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014). The amount you get, though, will depend on

  • your financial need,
  • your cost of attendance,
  • your status as a full-time or part-time student, and
  • your plans to attend school for a full academic year or less.
  • You may not receive Federal Pell Grant funds from more than one school at a time.
