This is the LV's main problem on offense. If you can't shoot from outside, the other team just packs in their defense making it very difficult to get the ball inside. The result is very few points from either the outside or the inside. Why they can't shoot from outside is another question. Some posters think that the coaching has taken away their confidence while others think the team is poorly constructed and consists mostly of players who simply are not good shooters.Just found this little nugget in the KNS:
Notre Dame is first in the nation shooting 44.9 from three-point range
Lady Vols are hitting 23.6 from the 3-point line - good for 336th in the nation out of 344 teams.
Anybody really think we stand a chance Monday night?

Yes, if they give the effort they are capable of, the substitutions are done smartly, and they space the floor so the paint is not jammed. They must shoot better. When they lose they do not do those things well whether it is coaching or mentality or a combination of both. While it may be a lot to ask for given their play as of late, given they are playing a highly regarded team, they may play up to their competition. They do not do well when they play those they should handle easily. ND will not be a team they should handle easily.
