I just had a guy from California do some painting for me. He left California 4 years ago after being raised near San Diego and had finally had enough. He was only around 30, but he was way more conservative than I am and drove a Ram pickup. They're not all bad.

For the large urban areas San Diego is a bit different due to the high military presence. Not saying the military is purely GOP it isn’t. But a good deal of them are and thus the area sees that more mixed influence.
