Just once I wish Oklahoma and Texas wouldn't start the season out ranked in the top 15. Texas isn't Texas anymore; quit ranking them high every year. Oklahoma has always been overrated. It's worse than Notre Dame's overratedness.
Vented, and UT won so I'm still happy.
Not to worry. That chit ends in Waco this year. Heres to 1/2 a hundred.Just once I wish Oklahoma and Texas wouldn't start the season out ranked in the top 15. They've not been a major player Nationally for a while. I think He will be but I wouldn't be shocked if He stayed at OU. I'm always heard the game referred to as The Red River War.
Just a little comparison since 2005.
Oklahoma
2005: Preseason 7th. Finished 22nd.
2006: Pre - 10th. Finished 11th.
2007: Pre - 8th. Finished 8th.
2008: Pre - 4th. Finished 5th.
2009: Pre - 3rd. Finished 25+.
2010: Pre - 7th. Finished 6th.
2011: Pre - 1st. Finished 16th.
2012: Pre - 4th. Finished 15th.
6 seasons finishing lower than preseason rank.
Texas
2005: Pre - 2nd. Finished 1st.
2006: 3rd to 15th.
2007: 4th to 10th.
2008: 11th to 4th.
2009: 2nd to 2nd.
2010: 5th to 25+.
2011: 25+ to 25+ (Highest rank 21)
2012: 15th to 25+
5 seasons finished lower than preseason rank.
So pretty much both teams usually underachieve.
