I was surprised to find two copies of Coach Summitt's book in a Jacksonville, FL book store with a sticker on the cover that said they had been signed.
The lady at the cash register said she oftens sees books with stickers like that even though the signature is a print.

I figured that if only about 2/10 of their copies have that, then it's probably genuine.

The price wasn't marked up above the other copies, so I happily bought it. But, I haven't found anything on the web saying she signed a bunch.

Perhaps while she was at her official signings for fans, she just signed a bunch of extras, and the publisher distributed them.

A couple months ago, at the Strand bookstore in NY City, they had a large pile of Sum It Up for sale. Some signed copies were mixed into the pile. All were priced at $14, signed or unsigned.

From my online research, and given the page that is signed in my copy, I think she may have been given several blank pages to sign, and the signed pages were then bound into the completed books.
