I'll come right out and give Kentucky a 1% chance of making the Final Four. No SEC refs, and they have to play Texas, Wicsonsin/Temple and West Virginia (New Mexico if they're lucky -- UNM is a damned good squad) consecutively. That bracket is brutal.

There's a good chance that bracket could also suck. Ohio State is a one-man show half the time, Georgetown is about as inconsistent as they come, and Maryland ain't the greatest thing ever at a 4-seed. The East is the only bracket where I'm sure teams 1-4 are all good quality. You've also got Texas, Temple, Marquette and Washington bouncing around in there.

Texas/Wake provides about as decent a chance for an 8/9 over 1 upset as you can hope for. They're both physically talented. Wisconsin and Temple are both tough, and I'd be willing to bet most on this site might straight-up pick WVU over Kentucky in a neutral site game. Huggs will have his guys feeling snubbed and riled up, they could ride that all the way to the Final Four.

And that was to say, IF they get as far as to face West Virginia, my pick to be the national champs.

You should obviously be in Vegas. :)

As pissed off as I am about it, I have WVU going to the title game in my money bracket as well. (not sure about my VN bracket) I of course had Kansas in the title game, but oh well.

As much as it pained me to do so, I picked Huggy over Cal, which is exactly how it played out.

Your user title suits you well. I'm feelin' pretty good about my pick to have WVU to win it all... Too far out to win the VN comp, but I already won $100 on another bracket comp between some friends.

I wish I had went with my gut and made the same pick. I picked WVU to lose to Kansas in the title game. However, I still feel great about it because there isn't anyone left in the bracket who picked either MSU or Butler to win it all. So only someone who picked a team from the other side of the bracket (WVU or Duke) can really distance themselves.

If WVU wins Saturday, I'm in the money solid. Go 'neers.
