  2. Vols had 21 1st downs.
  3. UGA #6 @ 42 Points per Game.
Hooker
  1. 113 QB RTG @ #2 D in PPG (10.5), #4 D in Total Yards per Game (262).
  2. 195 Passing Yards @ #13 D in Passing Yards per Game (177).
  3. Sacked 7 times.

I understand being positive and looking for silver linings, but GA took the gas off 2nd half and played protect the lead. They were confident that we could not come back on them the way they were playing plus the way we were playing. They were lot more confident than our players were.

Today we could have lost by something like 41-13, I was just hoping it would be respectable.
To me the silver lining is we are now competitive, should have 3 wins left in regular season, and this year is not over yet. I did not see a performance today that had much to brag about, except maybe they are now back down to earth.

UGA almost double their season sack total in ONE game against us. Add in the penalties and the OL should be really pissed at themselves. Just glad they didn't get Hooker injured and out for the season. By far one of the most disappointing OL performances in recent memory.

We didn't suffer any major injuries today that I am aware of.

That is the silver lining today. We lived to (perhaps) fight another day.

Pass protection needed to be better, but there is a lot that a QB does to make their job easier as well (and vice versa, of course). Like making quick, sound decisions and getting rid of the ball fast like you typically do, not second-guessing or checking down too much, hitting the wide open long ball when it’s there like you typically do, and making the defense pay when they try to blitz. It’s a learning experience, and I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing these teams play at a neutral site.

Georgia lost to Alabama 41-24 last year, then went on to win the national title. Our basketball Vols lost to KY last season 107-79, then came back to manhandle them in Knoxville as well as on a neutral court. We didn’t get as exposed as some are suggesting today. We ran into a very good, highly motivated buzz saw, and despite an insane crowd, the nation’s best D and virtually no lucky breaks, we lost by 2 touchdowns. We have a path to the national title, and I for one am not about to write this team off based on one game. Vols forever, GO BIG ORANGE!!! 🏈🍊
