In the first meeting between longtime foes in five years, No. 16/14 Tennessee dominated No. 22 North Carolina, 102-57. UT handed UNC its first loss of the season.

I look forward to the day I can read that in the men's basketball forum.

No kidding. The ladies scored 12 more points in the first half than the guys scored all game.

Three wins over top 25 teams. Who woulda thunk it?

Simmons kicked butt today along with her teammates,it was great to see Spani drop some 3s in and play really aggressive, like the whole team did, here is to wishing Carter a speedy recovery

There will be some ups and down with a young team but they have gotten better and better thus far this year.

I am really proud of them.

That was huge to defeat North Carolina so convincingly. It has to be a big confidence boost to the team, and to Holly. Looks like the Lady Vols will be climbing up the rankings some time soon.

Texas and Baylor up next. Not sure who Baylor has besides Griner, but we seem to be very deep. I hope we run like we did today and just wear Baylor down with up tempo and lots of substitution to keep fresh. Also I would make sure Griner is harassed, banged, bumped and physically challenged the entire game.

If Izzy gets in foul trouble early, we won't be able to hang with Baylor very long. They're just as good this year as they were last year.

This is a better team than last year's, that's for sure. And I'm not sorry that the enigmatic Stricklin is gone--no leadership.

Only senior I wish we still had from last year is glory...the way this team plays now fits her perfectly

Unfortunately, Baylor has their entire starting lineup back from a team that went 40-0 last year. Sims, is a lock for first team all-american this year. They did lose to Stanford this year, but Sims was out with an injury for that game. The odds of beating Baylor are about the same as the odds of Chattanooga beating the Lady Vols, so it will be a possibility.:)

The lady vols are not that good and unc not that bad. Watched the game. They clicked and unc was just off. If those teams played 10 games, it would be close in 9 of them. Ladies are getting ready to face the gauntlet. It all has to do with mental approach. They got confident with their d and shooting. Baylor will be a new challenge.

Baylor has a tenacious back court of guards...i feel more confident with our down low players against Griner than I do with our guards against their guards.
