TN:
- 15-2 with 1 point loss to Texas on the road and 10 point loss to Arkansas on the road
- Wins include two against Kentucky and one each against Auburn, Arkansas, and LSU
- Finished 2nd in SEC regular season and won SEC tournament championship
- Went 3-1 vs two conference teams projected to be higher seeds

UK:
- 12-4 record with 9 point loss at Auburn, 13 point loss at TN, 2 point loss at Arkansas, and 7 point loss to TN on neutral floor
- Wins include two against Alabama and one each against Kansas and LSU
- Finished 3rd in SEC regular season and lost in SEC tourney semi final

Outside them being a blue blood, what is rationale for UK being seeded higher than TN? I don’t get it.

Kentucky has a better net and is ranked higher in KenPom. Tennessee has better numbers with the exception of those two. But the argument shouldn’t be between Tennessee and Kentucky. They both deserve 2 seeds. The real focus should be on Duke, who is still being projected as a 2 seed in almost every bracket. They have no business being a two seed ahead of either Tennessee or Kentucky.

Spot on, IMO.

I get that, but flip everything around besides school names and you think TN would be projected ahead of Kentucky? C’mon. That’s my point.
