I thought I'd post something they should know when making their college decision.

"It's made me more confident, more accurate. And that's not to say I haven't had this type of coaching in the past. I just have had different coaching than this NFL style."

Teblow should enjoy being a wildcat fullback in the NFL....his star-studded time at FU should prove invaluable to this amazing role.......:eek:lol:

Yeah recruits, don't go to Florida.

You'll never win anything, and Meyer can't prepare you for the next level.

Now this Dooley guy on the other hand.......

Sigh....apparently he hasn't, even though 2 of his last 3 starting QBs got drafted.

Tebow, and everything that's wrong with him, will make it 3 out of 4.

Note to recruits: Please disregard this post. Clearly Urban Meyer has no clue what he's doing at Florida. For your own good, please go elsewhere.

Alex Smith? the guy that got benched so undrafted Shaun Hill could start? Please dont tell me your counting him. I know he got drafted but Meyer didn't prepare him for the NFL.

You're absolutely right.

Meyer did absolutely nothing to assist Alex Smith in being selected #1 in the 2005 NFL Draft.

(Hey 2011 recruits, are you getting all this? Meyer is horrible. You really need to consider any other school BUT Florida.)

Unprepared players occasionally get drafted.Seriously what are Smiths and Leaks stats for the 6+ NFL seasons since they got drafted?

They apparently don't read this board that much, Floriduh just signed a great class. Must be paying well down there in Gainesville or they have hot hostesses.

please read the post.. i said i know he got drafted but it's apparent that SF is admitting a mistake in drafting him by putting him on the bench.
ATTENTION RECRUITS!
Play for Meyer, get drafted, and ride the pine!

Actually Leak didn't get drafted. Josh Harris from Bowling Green did.

And their stats are minimal because Meyer is such a horrible coach. I don't know why a kid would ever want to play for that guy. What has he ever accomplished?

(2011 recruits....I think the choice is crystal clear don't you? This Meyer guy will never amount to anything at Florida...and neither will you if you go there.)

No doubt...we had a multi-page pissing match about all this a couple weeks ago.

I expect SaintBruce to jump in here at any point and claim it never happened.

I wouldn't say recruits but seriously do you really think his style does the qb a favor heading to the league.I mean Smith was the 1st pick but looking at his stats that has to be considered a bust for a top draft pick.

but the OP was talking about players in the NFL by Meyer. It's obvious Meyer is great in preparing guys for the college game, NFL? not so much.

Or he could go to Tennessee and become the next Peyton Manning, win 4 straight SEC titles and at least 2 national titles.

I think the choice is rather obvious.

Tebow is what he is: a great college Qb but lacking the skill set to succeed in the NFL. Doesn't change that Meyer is a great coach...

Ask recruits if they'd rather be Peyton or Tebow right now.
SEC and NC don't pay.

Which is why no self-respecting kid should ever want to play for him, right?

I'd send my kid to whoever coached Tony Romo at Eastern Illinois, or Miami (OH) so they can get the same training Big Ben got.

This Meyer guy is a clown. Who wants to play for a loser like him?

those other schools should have a better shot than meyer if a recruit is to base a coach soley on the basis of a coach's history of getting QB's to a successful NFL career.

And? I never said Brees would somehow finish his career as a more legendary player than Peyton.

I'm of the opinion that if you ask a kid today, RIGHT NOW, the answer would be Drew Brees.
