Lets start by saying that I think we have 0% chance of making this happen. But since everyone is taking the stance that we will pay whatever is needed to get this football program turned around, I might as well throw my desired coach....

For whatever reason, this guys name never even comes up for open college coaching positions. This has always shocked me due to be so respected and for his passion for impacting young mens lives.

Think about turning on the news and seeing, "Tennessee to introduce Tony Dungy as Head Football Coaching". The guy is extremely close with Peyton Manning and would be an amazing recruiter. Could you imagine how effective a black man thats as respected as Dungy could be in recruiting?

Again, his passion to help young people could keep him in the college ranks for the rest of his career.

I prefer to look at the fact that he is a man of impeccable character and would be a phenomenal positive influence. I don't believe there is any chance we get him, but I would prefer him over Gruden.

If everyone had to pick from these at these salaries, as I think this is what it takes to get them:

J. Fisher 3.5 million

L. Fedora 2.5 million

B. Petrino 2.5 million

A. Golden 2.5 million

C. Strong 3.25 million

B. Davis 3 million

B. Jones 2.25 million

G. Malzahn 2.75 million

What say you?

I wouldn't. Gruden came to Tampa with players overweight, coming to meetings late, and running 50% the drills with half or no pads. Always reminds me of when Pete Carroll was in Foxboro. Belichick had a player come into a meeting 5 minutes late:
"Who in the hell do you think you are? Get your a** outta here. I'll talk to you after the meeting."
The guy didn't last too long.

Gary Patterson - Offer 4.75 million & 3.75 for his staff.

Make him say NO.

We would not only be giving him almost a 2 million dollar raise but every guy on his staff would get huge increases. We would get Dick Bumpas and Randy Shannon as well. Our defensive issues would be a thing of the past.
