Singleton Likely Headed to Tallahassee

Well that really doesn't matter. Chris Singleton said his friend was going to attend where ever he enrolled. His friend isn't a basketball player and was going to go with him and be a manager. Pierre Jordan isn't the same guy. But - this obviously will help... and only increases their chances.

Jordan is still a decent recruit, but it's obvious that they're going out on a limb here to land Singleton.

I'll be glad if he doesn't go to UK - but I hope we get to play this wacky kid before he leaves for the NBA and smash him into the ground showing what could have been, Jamont Gordon style.

Considering Chris is living with the Jordans, it most certainly matters. Pierre's father has had a bigger hand in Chris's recruitment than his own family. It's my understanding that Pierre would have an offer on the table if Chris ended up signing with FSU. The headcase will officially anounce his decision on Wednesday.

So basically FSU is getting Singleton, Pierre, and they are giving a manager scholarship to one of Chris's friends?

Jordan and Singleton are the two that are connected. Who is this other "friend" you guys are talking about?

FSU beat out Winthrop, Butler, Col. of Charleston, etc. for Jordan. That shows you obvious it it that Jordan only got an offer in order to persuade Singleton to follow him.

Yes - but he has a friend who isn't a prospect on any level that is an aspiring coach apparently. He is getting a manager scholarship and is going where ever Chris goes.

These two were linked no matter what and would end up at the same school. Getting Jordan obviously is a big deal too - but it wasn't 100% that if Jordan went Chris went.

if I had known this kind of thing was possible I would have made friends with one of these guys when I was in school.

The problem is that Chris (and his mom) wanted to pick UT. His AAU coach, who runs the show, wants him at FSU.

Where did you hear this? I agree with G.Y.P.R. It seems unlikely that some coach would carry that much weight, but then again, I've never been recruited to play college sports, so what do I know?

It is not at all uncommon for AAU coaches to be the ones making decisions in high profile recruitments.

Looks like Kentucky fans on catspause are still pretty confident they'll get him even after the Jordan committment.
