Great article

But Pearl couldn't contain himself. "Bruce and his staff started crying," Marshall says. "If he could have, he would have painted his chest, run out through the streets and gotten arrested for being buck naked."

That summed it all up for me.

Walking the aisles of a Wal-Mart in Hopkinsville, Ky. last winter, Scotty Hopson happened upon two Kentucky Wildcats fans. "They came up to me out of nowhere and said I should come play for the 'Cats because 'Cats drive Mercedes," says Hopson, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound swingman.

Kentucky is the Alabama of basketball. I wonder who their version of Logan Young is.

Not to be flamed by everyone but would you start crying if you were a coach who just got a recruit?

Negative, but I have a completely different personality than Bruce does. When someone as emotional as him puts everything he is into a big time recruitment, and it pays off, crying doesn't seem all that wrong. Plus, I'm sure it makes Scotty feel awfully appreciated.

Bruce cries a lot. Nothing wrong with that. Just who he is. And Scotty is by far the most high-profile recruit he's ever landed. So it's a big deal for him and his staff.
