I don't mind it so much when we are 4th in some of them....

I actually prefer when we are not so high. seems our best years are when everyone says we are rebuilding or what are we gonna do without (Insert big name player). 1998 we lost Peyton and won the National Title. This year was Georgia is unstoppable and LSA will meet them in the SEC Title game. We suprised everyone and met Auburn. Wasn't a bad game either. If Ainge had been healthy might have been even closer.

I know but pre ranking is the root of alot of the problem with deciding a NC if OK wasn't preseason #2 and Au had been higher than was it 8th things might of turned out different and AU could have ended up playing SC(which IMO is the way it should have been)

Yeah, I know what you mean by it JR and I agree with you, but I might not this year if we keep getting these kind of rankings.....

Plus it sure doesn't hurt recruiting with the high School kids wnating to play for National Championships..

I know that pre-ranking isn't going away, just don't make them count until after 3 or 4 games

Yeah.....im with this guy on this one. Although pre season rankings mean nothing it doesnt hurt recruiting and it gives me a warm and fuzzy knowing that UT will be in a good position to start the season......Hey at least we are getting some "meaningless" pre season recognition.

Auburn started this year in the coaches poll(ESPN/USA Today)as 18th and in the AP poll as 17th and finished in both as 2nd.

Tennessee started the year in both as 14th and ended up coaches/15th and AP/13th.

Aint it funny how the polls seem so wrong and so right????

We need a BCS PLUS ONE game at the very least.

Until then BCS= Big Crock of Sh*t
