Freak, with Bama as hot as they were in the first half, do you really think there was anything we could have done? I think it was just one of those days where you have to tip your hat and burn the game film.

I really felt like if we could have gotten it to double digits we could have made it very interesting. I wasn't sure we could win this game at Bama but I did think it would be closer.

cbc we knew they had size and we knew they would beat us inside. We were going to give that up regardless. However, we could have overcome that if we shot a little better and they didn't hit everything they threw up in the first half. Steele was the x-factor in my opinion that we did not plan for.

If we didn't plan for Ronald Steele, someone didn't do their job. Eliminating the hype surrounding Rondo and simply judging on performance and importance to their team, a very good case can be made that Steele is the best PG in the SEC.

Poor choice of words on my part hatvol. I am sure Pearl planned for Steele. I knew he was good, but I honestly did not expect a 22 point 9 assist game out of him. I thought we would do a better job defensively. I should have said that Steele was the x-factor that "I" didn't anticipate.

That is more scoring than he normally does. From using the seats my boss has at the Knick games a few times, I can tell you NBA guys love Steele's game.

Rivalries aside, that game meant nothing. Everyone starts with a clean sheet in 4 weeks, all UT has to play for is better seeding, while Alabama and Arkansas are playing to get in the tournament. Thats the obvious difference. Looks like UK is going to be looking in from the outside.

I think it would be funny if UK didn't make it, but they will move to 8-5 in the SEC with a win over Ole Miss this week. If they lose their last three, which is possible, they will sweat out Selection Sunday, but I think they'll get in though.

While we are at it I would like to find ONE person who can say they 100% honest to God can say they thought we would be in the position we are. Let me go ahead and save you some heat.
