September 15,2001 we were to play Florida at the swamp and we had to move tha game because of the tower attacks. We later played the Gators and defeated them 34-32 in the Swamp. Would be nice if we could slay the Orgeon Ducks this weekend in similar fashion.

The 2001 Tennesse Volunteer team could arguably be the best team TN has put on the field in many years.

One slight problem.....that UT team was awesome.

You guys remember back in '98 when we won the championship?

Yeah, that was pretty cool.

Or the one we should have won in 2001.

Yea Fulmer sucked.

I'd rather have had him since we fired him. We'd still have Chavis, which means LSU doesnt, and we'd have Tahj Boyd.

I'd take that combo over the kiffin/dooley fiasco any day. And no chance he goes 23-27 or w/e it is we are since then.

I don't know we were going downhill with Fulmer.

His last 4 years we went 17-15 in SEC with losing records in 2 of those years. Fulmer did a lot of good things at TN. I applaud him for doing so. I also think he became compliance after the 2001 season. The team went from one of the best in the nation to a team no one feared under his watch. He also get credit or blame for that

You have to grasp at something fur a game like this.

A better parallel to me would be Miami 04'. They throttled us at home in 03, just like UO did in the first game. Were highly favored against us at home for game 2. Then IMA Soldier happened. LOL!

10-6 again and shock the world. Hehe.

The 2001 squad could have arguably been made up of the most talent TN has put on the field in years. However it most certainly was not the best "team."
