In the spirit of comparing present and past Vols...granted, they are three different type players, but play/played the same position.

Which one do you like better and which one meant more to their respective team?

Stokes is becoming more dominant than they ever were. Stokes is also the one who's talented enough to merit draft potential as a 20 year old junior.

Slay averaged 22 ppg as a Senior and was SEC poty. He was third team All-American which was a bit of an insult, IMO. He was also the heart and soul of the teams he was on.

Slay is my favorite player, but Stokes means more than those 2 ever did to their teams right now

If you use draft potential as your barometer then Marcus haslip would be at the top of that list.

Your right in that it's hard to compare those three....I think Slay and Chism were far better athletes but Stokes has really come to understand his advantages and strengths and uses them better than Slay or Chism..,but I couldn't say he more MVP to his team than the others..,

Loved them all. Slay should have been in the tourney has last year. Got absolutely robbed.

Stokes just keeps getting better and better each game.

I'd probably lean Slay, but Stokes is making incredible strides.

Gotta respect Chism's body of work against Noah and Horford, though. Two All-Stars he found a way to out play.

It wasn't the only barometer I used. You also have to consider Stokes is very close to breaking Bernard King's season double-double mark. If Stokes stays for his senior campaign, I think he could average 20 and 10+. He's likely the difference in us being a NCAA bid, or an NIT bid next year.

Chism played the best defense of the three. Slay the best offense and Jarnell has the best rebounding. So each had their strengths. All are great Vols.

If I've got a true Center, I'd take Slay. If I don't, I'd take Stokes.

I use to be friends with Slay's younger brother, and I'll never forget the day he came to pick him up from my house. I opened the door and about fell on my butt! He was also as friendly as can be! A true Great!

Chism doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Slay and Stokes.

You obviously didn't watch Chism while he was here. He has ice water running through his veins. He always played his best when playing the best. He is the only one of the three I would want shooting free throws late in a game. He is more than deserving to be on this list.
