Smart to Jets??

Yeah, this isn’t happening. Smart will be one of the highest paid college coaches as long as he coaches. Also, why would he leave a job at his school where he has basically 100% job security for a job where he would have basically no job security?

I will say that being a successful head coach at a major college football program is a job that is probably one of the most demanding jobs in all of sports. When looking at all of the aspects of the job, especially recruiting, there is basically no downtime. It’s pretty much all day everyday. I think it’s possible for any such coach, even Smart, to get burnt out with such a demanding job. He does have a family and kids so it could happen, but he isn’t leaving to coach the Jets. At least I really hope he isn’t thinking about the NFL. He strikes me as a college coach, and particularly a GA coach to the end. 🤞

It would suck for GA if he left, but it would be great for the rest of College Football. It would be especially nice for every other SEC football program.

First off the source is a troll page. Secondly Saleh was just fired and the NFL requires so many interviews before making a hire. I would be skeptical of any hire done in October unless it was someone without a job like a Bill Belichek.

It was a joke. I am seeing more and more of those, but at least the people doing it have the decency to put the word "troll" in their username.

Last week I saw where Nico was going to be out because of Gonorrhea. This week I saw where some QB had a "pulled Labia". I have already forgotten who it was. Just get used to it.

The Jets just fired a defensive coach, they’re not hiring another one. At least they shouldn’t .

While it's an obvious troll page,I don't see Smart leaving his dream job for a pro job dictated by a star quarterback on the back end of his career.

I forget the man’s name but he would have a lot more titles had he not chose Fromm to start.

Believe Jacob Eason was his Kirbys first big time recruit. Fromm replaced him after injury then I believe JT Daniels was expected to replace Fromm but that didn't work out and ended up being Bennett.

That could be him. I remember they alleged some off field issues as well before leaving UGA
Yeah, I think it was said that one of the GA baseball players had made some sort of racist comment towards Fields at some point. I’m not 100% on the details, but supposedly this incident was used in an effort to apply for immediate eligibility to the NCAA and he was granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA.

Thanks for the help I appreciate it.
I 100% believe the trophy case would have a few more if he would have stayed.

Funny how his sister stayed at UGA, but he was too concerned about racism or whatever he claimed.

Kirby had Saban about as far as you can be on the ropes without knocking him out with Fromm at QB. One play either way and Fromm could have been a National Championship winner as a true freshman.
