Need an assist from the golfers on the board. I'm playing the Callaway XR and would like to get my hands on a Smokey head cover. For some reason, most of the covers I've seen are just crappy looking and don't appear to be large enough to fit the larger driver heads currently on the market. If you know of a nice one, I'd appreciate a link.

this is at Kohls priced a bit higher than the other one posted above though - it claims to fit all drivers

I like the look of this one, but when I search Kohl's, I get the ones above. One feedback indicated it didn't fit oversized drivers. Why is it so hard to get a decent looking UT driver cover?

I have the Callaway XR and my Smokey head cover works great with the club. My head cover doesn't have the sock though. It's just like the one's shown above without the sock. I got it at PGA Superstore here in Dallas.

Google collegiate shaft gripper head covers.

I hope you enjoy the XR because it's a great club. I switched from Titleist 913 D3 this year and never looked back. I've hit a Titleist driver for years but I'm sold on the XR now.

If I was home I'd take a pic of my Smokey head cover. It fits my Callaway Alpha 815 perfectly and looks better than the web links of these other Smokey's... I couldn't tell you where I bought it, I've had it for a few years now.

What shaft did you go with?

My brother-in-law plays the 815. Great driver. I hit it almost as well as the XR. I was down in Atlanta playing and our pair was joined by a gal who had her partners bail due to a very slow round. She joined us and I noticed her husband had a smokey cover. He wasn't playing that day and she had no idea where he got the cover. I've been searching for a good while now. If you recall where you got yours, drop me a reply or PM. Not sure why almost all the smokey head covers look so crappy. There has to be a nice one out there somewhere.

I have a lady that turns stuffed animals into headcovers. You can pick a nice smokey stuffed animal and it would be unique. I'm sure the idea could be on Pintrest but if not I could get her to help.

I purchased one last year at Edwin Watts. It fits my Titleist 913 D3.

Here's another option for a good looking Smokey Cover. Not sure if it will suit your needs, but it looks good. :)
