When is Smokey IX going to be held accountable for his record of losing? He started his reign at the 2004 Peach Bowl (where we got embarrased by Clemson) and hasn't done squat since then. The worst Smokey in recent memory.

And the cartoonish Smokey charcter they created a few years ago sucks, also.

When are Kiffin or Hamilton going to step up and address the Smokey issue and get us a new mascot?

Have you noticed how abusive Smokey is to his handler? He jumps up and nips at him all the time when they're doing their end zone run after a TD. That dog needs an intervention.

He's all bark and no bite. Plus, he doesn't do anything to motivate the team like Smokey VIII. SmokeyVIII won us 2 SECC and a NC.

What has this guy done? Two 5-win seasons?

Smokey needs fired.

I like aggressive Smokey trying to nip at people. Smokey rules. (not the new cartoon one though).
Therefore, the question is: How much worse would these last few years have been had smokey IX not been around?

I saw an old John Wayne movie where he taught his dog to hate indians by paying an indian to hit it every day when the dog was growing up...Maybe we should employ a dirty bammer to increase Smokey's hate

Let's just assume that Kiffin has thought about this and he has confidence in the situation. I'm torn whether to assume the game has passed IX or have I learned to stop second guessing our coach? Being a Vol fan is a full time job.

Another thing.......this Smokey has never peed on anyones leg yet! This kind of mental abuse to the fans should not be tolerated! I say Hamilton should reprimand him, fine him and maybe even suspend him.

That's BS, Im tired of Slime controling our coach and now our dog. I wil be sending him a email about this BS.:)

Ive often wondered about that..I confronted IX at the 08 Auburn game(His room was next to mine...I aint kidding) and demanded a response..he just panted and posed for a picture..
