I posted a pic of her at 2 1/2 months. Thought I'd post something y'all might enjoy other than the big game this weekend.

I'm confused because I read the title and expected to see matured cheese.

Don't like that much hair on my cheese.

(but that's a beautiful dog)

Cool dog. What is their temperament? I want one but I'm not a hunter and have a young family.

It depends. You need to get the dog early before it's had the run of a farm or wild. We got ours around 10 weeks. She's a great house dog but goes outside a lot. I have an electric fence. She sleeps inside in her pet taxi and loves it. This dog needs to be around people so throwing her in a back yard where she has little interaction with people is a bad bad bad idea. Blue ticks are very good with children. They like to sleep a lot. I'll spread out her UT blanket on my bed to watch tv and she'll sleep the whole time lol. She's a great pet. That being said I am going to take her out to the farm soon and let her tree some coons just because it's a natural instinct. As far as howling, they have their own distinct howl and they make many other funny noises. It's very amusing. Mine says whooowaaaa at animals. I don't let mine out past ten o'clock because of her volume. She tends to be real vocal at night. Get one. Blue ticks are a lot of fun.

Here is my bluetick on the pillows of the bed. She is not supposed to be on the bed.....

Blueticks can be great dogs but they need lots of attention and training. I got her late and she was tough to deal with for about 6 months. She had some of the craziest anxiety I have ever seen in anything. I am glad we worked through the issues and she is awesome addition to our family.

Beautiful dog! Love the ole blue ticks!!! You are right. These dogs need attention. They do best when they get at least three walks during the week. keeps down their anxiety. What did you name her? We named ours Smokey Mountain Bleu and we call her Bleu (Blue).

That's an awesome pooch. I'd love to have one someday, but the shedding is an obstacle, esp w my wife.

We adopted one a few years ago and he was an abused malnourished dog rescued from a junk yard, took him a month to even come out of his kennel, 6 months to loosen up to me, he only ate if my wife gave him food and only went outside with her, he freaked out one day I came home early from work and I tried to take him outside and he ripped a toe off getting back into his kennel, he finally came around and was a great hound!

We couldn't keep up with him and gave him to my uncle who runs coonhounds raccoon hunting and "Smokey Bones Blue" became one helluva coon hound!
We miss that dog so much, he chased and killed a coyote and would practically climb trees for opossums and raccoons , he chased deer a lot on our property and we had to move which is why we had to let him go.

He's the only hound my uncle let's stay in his house, plays with kids and is spoiled rotten, but one of the better tree in coon dogs he's ever had. Must have had a great bloodline.

Awesome! great looking blue tick. I love these dogs. Obviously my kids wanted a blue tick cause of Smokey but she's turned out to be the best dog we've ever owned.
