Yeah, I lived in Elora, a mile from enemy territory (bama state line). Most of my family lives between Huntland and Flintville.

I graduated in 1982, IDK if you were around back then or not.

My daughter, who attends every game with me made me tear up the other night after the game...as we watched the players take turns leading Smokey across the field, taking pics with him, etc. (we ALWAYS stay long after games as I know I have MORE time in Neyland BEHIND me...than I have in front of me)

I look at her and she has eyes FULL of tears and says "Smokey's NOT gonna understand why he doesn't get to come to games anymore...it's SO SAD!"

That gave me goosebumps! Smokey is the top dog in all college sports
