have to put up with this bs! i'm beyond pissed at our administration. get the internal problems fixed and then we can get a good coach. the reason i am sharing this is because the restrictions on the athletic program are REAL people. no way should we be coachless while all the good candidates go to our competition.

If either of those coaches were hired here, would have been an angry mob down at Neyland.

I think we'd be ok with taking Wisconsin's coach.

However, Arkansas can take an historically better hire because they had a whole year to do the search.

Why does it appear that vol fans always see greener grass across the street. Wisky was happy to be rid of their coach and auburn will be under scrutiny from ncaa for the for seeable future. Just because TN was not first to hire a coach does not mean it will be worst hire.

Do not Agree , Bret Bielema is a home run hire, Malzahn is better than the current names being rumored.

Bieliema was 6 year 3.2 million per year....

Malzahn is being paid 2.3 million with a 5 year deal.

Both are winners and came at a bargain price by todays standards.

Step away from the edge.

You have no idea who we will hire at this point. I would much rather get it right than get it quickly done. I wouldnt be happy with Malzon, Bielema, as our coach so I dont get your frustration. Gundy and Strong are as good as any other coaches that have went to other schools. For all we know we may be waiting on Chip Kelly. I for one am glad we havent handled it like Arkansas did.

the point is we are missing out on top proven coaches! they don't want to come here.

Who have we missed on that was ever realistic? Gruden? Please. Can't fault is for trying but we haven't missed on anyone. People are just impatient. It'll be done this week.

This is my view exactly. I hate the longview, drag-out nature of this search as much as anyone, but it is what it is.

What "top proven coaches" have we missed out on besides Gruden? The AD swung for the fences and worked on him, and him alone, for a long time. It didn't work out. Now we're going to get someone in the 2-4 range on our list who are ALL good coaches.

They hired people we didn't want. You're mad that your buddies got girlfriends and you're still single. Chill out.

Some fans are just plain stupid. If it ain't Gruden, then we aren't getting a winner. I'm so sick of hearing this. Strong is a great coach, and I'd rather have him over Malzahn and Bielema. ***** now, but don't jump on the train when it rolls out. UT is going to win, and win often if Strong is our coach. Get your minds right.

Never go full retard.

Too many of you hicks are getting your panties in a wad for no reason. You have no effing clue what's going on with this coaching search- it's your own damn fault you gobbled up the complete bullcrap paraded around by people posting on a damn internet forum. Hart doesn't owe anything to any of you idiots, and the entitlement so many of you clowns are saying you're owed because you buy your yearly nosebleed seats is embarrassing.

And yes, I mad.

I don't understand the fan interest in Gundy. Living out here in Big 12 land, I know what he is ... a second tier coach in a lesser conference.

Yes he's scrappy, but not consistent enough (you old timers like me can relate this to the early Johnny Majors days).

Strong I can get solidly behind. But I'll be very, very, very disappointed in a Gundy hire.

Exactlly :good!: Another perspective is that virtually all the other coaching jobs have been filled and we've lost no one we would really like. Patterson, Peterson, Strong, Fedora, Fisher, Gunden, Gruden (sorry, had to throw that in), ect. None of these guys were swooped up by Auburn, Arkansas, Colorado, or BC.

UT was, and still is, the best job on the market, we have the money, and are completing a professional search (which is a bit more extensive than hiring someone to work the window at Wendy's), so calm the frick down.

Malzahn---not a good hire. He'll be a puppet for pat dye and the boosters and will be saban's punk.

I agree, Stong over Gundy is a no-brainier unless we have a home-run DC which I really doubt. Our position hasn't been vacant even three weeks and people freaking out. Reflection of our society.

Bret Bielema would have been a homerun hire for UT...The guy is a great coach....we really would have been smart to get him...IMO, we will be back here in two years pissed off we didnt get him. He's a force

If we had hired Gus Mahlzan I would be in deep depression right now.

Wait....... I'm already in deep depression.

Deeper depression.
