Chavis is a great DC. This is his first year of completely rebuilding one of the worst defenses in the SEC last year. I would trade Jancek for Chavis in a split second. Is he going to make mistakes? Yes. But his defoenses will win more big games than lose them. Without Chavis, Tennessee doesnt even sniff an undefeated season in 1998, much less than a NC.

When Ryan Kelly went down, Chavis called the perfect defense to bottle up Henry. Bama's D outscored both offenses. I fail to see what else Chavis could have done.

I'll give Henry 230+ yards and Alabama offense 20 puts right now and take my chances. Am can't run a lick, didn't even try. You won't beat a team like Bama with a 1 dimensional offense. Gotta stay with run game even if it don't work early.
