So, do we owe the Knox media some credit?

The smokescreen was just a smokescreen. Looks like they had it right all along. What about (gulp) Jimmy Hyams?

What about John Adams...he sure caught some flak. Also, what was up with his comment about how it's unusual for the team to clap for a coach upon leaving. Was he trying to be a jerk? For some reason it came off a little sketch imo

Media was dead on. People on here cried "smokescreen" any time they reported something that didn't fit their wet dreams. It's laughable.

What has he been wrong about in the past? Serious question...I didn't "follow" him until the past couple years.

Look at this this way, the negative guy on here is like your girlfriend or wife that will never let you live down that 1 time you were late.

You can be on time or early 10,000 times but she's going to bring up that 1 time over and over.

Never mind the negative people. They just can't admit when things don't go their way or they can't admit when someone they don't like is correct.

Thought it was a D-bag kind of question. Especially considering I thought the context made it fairly obvious that it was a positive thing.

"Lane Kiffin will not be the next head coach at Tennessee."

-Hyams, the day before we hired Kiffin.

No.

The Knoxville media sat back, did nothing, and waited to be told WHAT to say and WHEN to say it. They are a mouthpiece of the UTAD, nothing more.

IMHO, if all they are going to be is a bunch of stenographers, the UTAD really doesn't need them. With their own PR staff utilizing social and electronic media, they can accomplish everything they they need without the KNS, Sports Animal, et al.

Absolutely. People in the media actually admitted when they didnt know something as opposed to saying something is certain because "insert name" said so. Boosters, former players, media all feed at the same trough except the media gets paid to do it and have more on the line to break a story. If there was anything to it more than the Chattanooga Connection would have tried to break it.

Speaking of D-bag questions, which idiot asked him about when Tennessee became his "dream" job? Might have been just me but it came across kind of smarmy.
