SEC East: 22-8 (.733), 7-6 (.538)

SEC West: 17-12 (.586), 7-8 (.467)

The two SEC east out of conference losses are to Louisville and Michigan.

The west losses are to Wake Forest, Missouri, USC, and Tulane.

Hmm...interesting. I think though that as far as the top 3 in each division goes, the SEC West is slightly better.

Auburn is 2. LSU is 9. Arkansas is 34. which is an average ranking of 15

Florida is 5. UGA is 10. Tennessee is 13. which is an average ranking of 9

The W-L columns will probably look a little more balanced by year's end. Right now the KY record is bolstered by wins over Central Mich. and Texas St. while Vandy's wins came against TSU and Temple (granted Temple is D1A).

I am intrigued by the fact that LSU and AU have not really played anyone other than each other. Auburn's next toughest game was S.Car. where the Gamecocks were still in it late. LSU's next toughest game is a toss-up between Arizona (2-3) and Louisina-Lafayette (2-2). Elsewhere in the West, Arky and Bama seem to be about evenly matched having played within a point of each other and each having a narrow victory over Vandy. The Mississippi schools really do not merit comment. So far you really have to say the bright spots for the SEC West are AU's 7 point win over SC and Bama hanging with UF until the 4th quarter. Part of me wonders if AU-LSU may have put too much into designing teams to beat each other while leaving some holes that SEC East teams may be able to exploit? I guess we'll find out starting Sat. in Gainesville.

we'll find out a lot more about all of them in the next two weeks...if both LSU and Auburn beat UF, then i'd have to give the nod to the West. Right now, LSU is playing better than anyone on both sides of the ball.

i agree with HB, LSU and Auburn may have constructed teams to compete with each other, almost to a fault. these next two weeks for Aub, LSU and UF will be interesting.

Yeah, too bad UGA is grossly overrated :ermm:
