Well here we are at 4-6 and obviously we need to win out.

From my original thread 9/23/13:

USC - W?
AL - L
Mizzou - L?
Auburn - W/L? now ranked
Vandy - W
KY Jelly - W

I was close except for AU, geez Louise, where the hell did they come from!! :blink:

So what did we learn from Candy vs KY Jelly??

Vandy is vulnerable, although their QB worries me. :yikes:

There schedule, is not even close to ours (especially Away).

If we can get fired up and play like we did against GA and SC, then I think we roll on to the post season! :rock:

The question is Will We??????????????

My money is on Butch and team 117 to get it DONE!!!!

BUTCH STILL KNOWS *****ES!!!!!!!

I don't know your age but Auburn was a horrible team in the early 90's but the very season that Bowden took over, they were undefeated but were on some type of NCAA restrictions and couldn't make it to a bowl game.

Now, that Malzahn has taken over. And last season was a horrible season, they are winning.

It is typical of Auburn to have a good record following a horrible season accompanied with the firing of the current coach and the hiring of a new coach.

In fact, the season that Tubberville took over the Auburn team, they had a very, very good season in 2004.

Then in 2010, Chizik, in his first season, took them to the National Championship.


The "Barn" usually responds well when a new coach is hired.......

Tubby took over long before 2004, and Chiz took over in 2009. Tubby and Fulmer both got the axe following the 2008 season.

If we can't finish the season with 2 wins against ky , vandy its going to be really embarrassing for Vol fans

Obviously, VU is going to come in favored. They may even be sniffing around the Top 25. They have one awesome receiver, a qb who will run and they usually play smart and disciplined ball. They are not lights out faster or more skilled than our guys so this is not a continuation of the last 3 games unless the coaches and the players allow it to become that in which case we will have lost the game before they even run through the T. This is a winnable game and, if the Vols take care of business, there's no reason to expect a let down against Kentucky with postseason play on the line. Nobody's job is on the line this year but the next 2 games are when Butch Jones and his staff will begin to be evaluated and judged by most of the fanbase.

Our Defensive play doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. Not sure it's fixable at the moment with the personnel CBJ has. Vandy will be a lot more tougher than we may want to admit.

Vandy has made their season off of capitalizing off of turnovers.

They scored 14 points off Georgia turnovers and 21 points off of Florida turnovers.

Kentucky threw a few interceptions as well.

If UT takes care of the football on offense they win at home. And make it look easy. They will struggle if they turn the ball over and give up yards due to penalties.

Tennessee just doesn't have the talent to dig themselves out of a hole like that. Not yet anyway. Like Butch keeps saying, We have a very small margin of error.

Beat Vandy and KY. Go to a bowl, finish 7-6. Look forward to NSD and watch the great class be signed. Butch gets it!

That's funny! The OP thinks he's a real Nostradamus for his 2013 season prediction but he doesn't seem to remember that 100,000+ other Vol fans made almost identical predictions before the season began. LOL.
