Tbh i am kind of more worried about their back up aka AR jr than i am a gimpy BY who likely won't be able to take off and run because of risking a hit on his shoulder.

Their backup is tailer made to beat our defense as he negates our one real strength, the pass rush.

At least with BY we can get to him and punish him like we did against Pitt's Slovis.

I think Vegas thinks he plays. I think they have a good enough line and a good enough Back that they do not need a mobile Young. They only need him to slice and dice our secondary and read the line.

I think the game comes down to our Young and our DL play. Can we get pressure enough to support our secondary like we did at LSU. LSU was missing 2 OL starters which I think helped us tremendously. Milroe playing would be more like LSU offense, and we can handle that. Young playing would be more like 1st half of Pitt IMO.

Did you not see what we did to JD last week? I think we're going to bring pressure and if Bama's backup QB is in there he's shown he's a turn over machine.
TN just needs to have someone spying the QB all game and give him some welcome to Knoxville hits.
The defense will need to continue to stop those 3rd and stupid long runs by QB's

LSU was missing 2 OL starters which I think helped us tremendously.

And even with those starters the LSU OL is unusually weak this year. Listening to the LSU fans they really think Coach O didn't leave a very good situation at OL. Kind of like one of our former coaches who didn't sign very many OL.

So, let's not assume we're gonna get hits on the Bama QB (or stop the Bama run) like we did against LSU.

I always dread it when the backup QB comes into the game, but I don’t really care who starts. I feel like we’re playing with house money at this point, at least against bama and probably uga.

I am sure Bryce will play...the backup is too wild for Satan. Thats actually better for UT as he will be limited to drop back duties. The dline can pin their ears back and shorten the exposure time for the DB's. The Bama backup QB turns the ball over but is fast and looks more like a running back, the type guy UT has had problems stopping.

I don't think Bryce plays. You don't come back from that injury that quickly. If he does play, he won't be playing at 100%. He won't run for risk of further injury and throwing mechanics will most likely be off. I think we get Milroe though.

When I was young I fell just like BY did on his shoulder. As soon as I saw the way he landed on his shoulder and how he acted right after the injury, I told my wife he tore his rotator cuff. I did just like BY did. I tried to tell myself I was okay. Then when I tried to use my arm, I knew I wasn't. Two shoulder surgeries later and many years later, it still bothers me. I honestly don't believe he plays but if he does, there is no way he is anywhere near 100%. JMHO

Most serious concern is BY at 100% but I don't see that regardless or we would know already. With our horrible secondary, he could set records. That said, I think he may be there juiced up for the game. Our front line though has shown the ability to hit QBs hard and all it takes is one good hit to make Young rethink his career. I would bet everything I have we will get at least a few sacks. Even with him gingerly sitting like a rock in the pocket tho, if his arm works, he can do real damage.

Key is, can we keep scoring? If so, I am not concerned. They have a great run D tho.

Question is, does Nick want to risk it when this game doesnt matter for either the SEC or maybe even the playoffs? Granted, its huge game this year for both teams but it doesnt impact them like losing to a team in the West.

I’m more worried about them taking out Hooker than anything. Hope our O line can keep him protected.

The d line for lsu was no slouch... they have like 3 first round draft picks on that unit... we ran for 256, and the only sac came off a safety blitz with a freshman rb in pass pro... Our o-line is pretty legit, and our scheme helps them out too. Will be fun to watch.

My gut says he’s going to play. Ideally, he plays but isn’t 100%. That way the bammers can’t claim we only beat them Bc they didn’t have BY.
