The first comment under the article is the first thing that came to my mind: USC is trying to save face by claiming imposters contacted coaches that turned them down. No good coach will touch that job right know, outside of someone like Bobby Petrino.

Kiffin is a curse. Doubters, here's proof:

The Raiders have not had a winning record since Kiffin coached there. The Vols have not had a winning record since he coached in Knoxville. And while he never had a losing season in LA, the Men of Troy greatly underachieved under his dubious leadership. Example: 2012 preseason #1, final record 7-6.

Any chance one of our SEC rivals might pick him up for their coaching staff?

I seriously doubt Lane's gonna drag momma across the country to the south again. That ship has sailed.

Kiffin's a solid QB coach. He'll land on his feet somewhere as a position coach. He could probably consult with the Elite 11 camp and make some good money on the side too.

When was the last time the Raiders had a winning season??? Don't keep up with them but they have sucked for atleast 15 years.:peace2:

2002. I don't understand the statement that they haven't had a winning season since he's been there. It's true, they haven't. But they didn't have one well before he was there...

Yeah , my cousins 5 th brother has a mother that married her uncle who is kin to them and he has been contacted by Florida and is weighing his options between them and osu. Sarcasm

He's more of a QB cooler. Wrecked the poor guy at USC after getting him to stay another year.

Wanted Rees, no good. Wanted Scroggins, no good. Bray was actually a back up plan cause he struck out on the 5 guys ahead of him.

Ran off Boyd, really good. Ran off Petty, really good.
