I looked at the list of UT signees by year for the last 10 or so years on TOS and the number of 4/5* recruits that were washouts at UT is absolutely mind numbing. They left UT for every different reason imaginable, but based on the numbers it has to be the highest total in the NCAA. That failure has to be borne by the all the coaching staffs over that period for lack of seeing character during recruiting and lack of discipline and player development when they got on campus.

I am just curious as to what effect or if any recruiting players who really wanted to play at UT would do. By that I mean guys who have grown up in orange and white.

Yeah, I wonder that a lot also. We have really moved away from the ole "get out there and fight for your home state" stuff. That was big in the 60's & 70's

That's the coaches fault IMO because they don't give instate kids the time of day. I still believe if Cody Robinson was from Georiga or Bama he would be at UT today..
