So I really hope the scoring is different for the O and W game this year

With all the talent and depth on the team we could get some serious reps to everyone without doing the "offense scores, defense scores" thing. IMO it was pretty lame.

Think how cool it would be if they did like a "Seasoned vs. New" style game.

You could have:Fergy, Hurd, LP, Malone, etc.

VS

Worley, Lane, North, Croom etc.

Imagine the quality reps TKJr and Bates could get against the current first team offense. Or on the flip side, imagine how good it would be for Fergy to be throwing and scrambling against Maggit and AJ. Would be an awesome game and a great way to guage our new talent.

Playing devil's advocate, wouldn't that mean our starter's are going against sophomore's and freshman? I think Worley will get his best look vs. the first team D.

Yeah, Bro. That's practice for SEVERAL thousands of loyal Big Orange fans practicing standing and yelling for the new dynasty of college football......and it's our men in orange practicing championship football. 'Sounds good to me!

It'll be offense vs. defense again, not enough bodies to have a full everyone picks teams scrimmage.

I was actually happy with the orange and white game last year, though the scoring system was far too convoluted.

I was just happy to see first stringers playing first stringers.

Yup. It really showed where we were. Our offense couldn't move the ball and our defense looked better than the year before. That's EXACTLY how the season went.

College spring games are roughly the equivalent of the 1st pre-season game in the NFL. It's a welcoming for the fans but the quality of the product is usually lousy. As fans, you don't care at first. Towards the end, it's boring and just as quickly forgotten.

There aren't too many "favorite" memories from the actual spring game or 1st pre-season game. The best parts are the pre-game activities (autographs, meeting coaches, etc.).

I wonder who will handle the instant replay booth?

Fer gawd's sake, it IS practice and the coaches should set it up so that they AND the players can learn something.
