Other than winning the ring and wearing Orange, does the guy have any coaching prowess. Have never heard him thought of as a good or up-and-coming coach except on here where some have gone as far as suggesting him as OC???

I can't speak for his coaching abilities, but the man can recruit. I want him back in BIG ORANGE!!

This. He recruits like a machine. If he is hired as an assistant on this staff, I would expect Hatcher and Ramsey to follow him. He's the big reason they committed to USC.

First thing he should do is goto beech and put handcuffs on Jalen Hurd and not let him out of his sight until signing day.

Get him AWAY from that idiot in USC before he gets into trouble (again) and Tee is forced out in a bad light.

Best thing for Jones to do it surround himself with some familiar names in the Vol Nation and go from there. Tee would help ease in the transition and set a positive light on Jones' character choices.

Plus, it would be nice to give Kiffy boy a big punch in the nuts by stealing a coach since he deserves it.

I think the kids really like him and why not? Kind of hard to discredit a guy who won a national title during the season of his first start. He's a hero around Knoxville I remember when he got cheered coming back as a Kentucky coach. I would love to see him back. Like i mentioned earlier it kind of pissed me off when Dooley had so much arrogance as to not even call him. If jones acts quickly tee may whisper in bray, Patterson and hunters ears to stay as well

Bring him in Tee has always been a favorite Vol of mine. His recruiting abilities would be a huge asset plus he is an orange blood!

He is the position coach for the guy who won the Biletnikoff award earlier this week. He was Randall Cobb's position coach as well as the passing game coordinator for Kentucky. He served as an OC at a black college for one year and ran a camp for dual threat quarterbacks that was very highly thought of.

The man has experience, and to the apparent chagrin of some, I wouldn't mind seeing Tee one day become the HC here. He is a rising star among the coaching ranks and probably the best shot out of our current alums in coaching of being a BCS level HC one day.

The same way any coach coaches the position, learn about it, know the ins and outs, and be a great teacher. You don't have to play that position to teach it. Example: Sam Pittman was a defensive end in college but coaches OL now. It happens all the time.

Tee is a MUST for this staff. He's a rising star and we already know how great of a recruiter he is.

Great point rocketskates !!! Tee will probably become a great coach in time but he could add so much value as a recruiter sorta like Trooper Taylor did when he was at UT.:good!:

Jalen's handler (yuck) supposedly said Jalen was too good for a place like Tennessee.
