Colorado led Kansas 35-10 at the half and 45-17 in the 4th Quarter.

Kansas now leads 52-45 with under a minute to go in the game.

They don't care enough about athletics in Boulder. It's more of a drinkin town. Most of them don't know the game is on.

With all due respect, I don't think it's the drinkin' their town is known for. :)

There's really no reason Hawkins should still be here. Anyone who saw his first year and actually though things were going to improve is crazy.

I'm more amazed with how Georgia keeps Mark Richt employed?
Mark Richt has shown actual competence in the SEC. He's basically just being run out by some better coaches. Hawkins took a team that had made the Big 12 title game the previous season and flat out s*** the bed. I don't in any way understand bringing him back after last season.

As TXVOL pointed out, Boulder doesn't care about its football. There's not the money or alumni support to buy Hawkins out.

Really? They had been at least respectable over the past 25 or so years it seems. I just assumed their fans would at least be a little interested.

Well, they were, but the gradual slide since 2002 or so has driven away alot of their support.

very familiar story.
lets hope this same thing doesn't happen at Tennessee.
I doubt it. I feel like people will actually get frustrated pretty quickly here. Dooley may need to get a solid team on the field in 2012.

It will never happen here like it happened in Colorado. CU enjoyed their football success when they had it, but in Boulder it's kind of a "could take it or leave it" atmosphere.

The Buffs have their die-hards, to be sure, but it's nothing like Tennessee. Not even close.

I'm afraid our basketball may be like that. Let's not botch this next hire.
