So the reason Power Programs are jumping to B1G and SEC totally makes 0 sense based on results this year

FSU claiming they can't compete due to money. They just stomped LSU who is making SEC money.

Texas just stomped Alabama who is making SEC Money.

USC is top 10.

Oregon top 10.

The entire conference realignment argument seems stupid. Those teams should have stayed put (or in case of FSU, stay put).

Teams that left suck now like Nebraska.

It's about money. How much each school gets. Not wins and losses. Dont be naive. ACC media deal is terrible for example

Well its big business. I am surprised people are surprised

True but they use to hide it more back in the day. CFB heyday was 1990-2012 or so. It has really been in decline since 2012 or so. The lack of parity in the 2010s and now the realignment mess turned people off.

NFL seems to be stealing the fans since it has a better format.

Take the opening of this season. We have some good matchups but what the heck are Georgia, Michigan, and others doing? Georgia doesn't even have a solid opponent on the entirety of their 12 game schedule besides Tennessee.

You wouldn't see that in the NFL. They would schedule games like we got Thursday night between Lions and Chiefs.

To fix the sport, I would have loved to see a central authority with power and take away conference/school power. Have the central authority (I guess NCAA although they are incompetent) define the conferences and make the schedules. Do like NFL and don't do these 5 game out OOC crap but rather schedule the games each off season. Just leave OOC games blank and schedule based on last year. Perhaps still give teams 2 cupcakes for preseason like games but no mor than 2.

UGA was supposed to play Oklahoma today. SEC made them cancel. But I get your broader point

True but why couldn't, I don't know, Georgia and Michigan play? They both had games cancelled and instead loaded in cupcakes instead of each other.

Bc there wouldn't be a home and home bc future schedules are written. Both programs way too proud to conceded a home game to the other
