Gruden wants complete control of his staff, and Hart doesn't want to get rid of Sal. Good lord. If you have a guy like Gruden knocking on the door, you don't say "no".

If you are wondering what I am referring to read the last post in the Cliff Notes. Although the source sounds sketchy, it could be a possible hold-up in this negotiation.

Do you guys think Hart could negotiate Sal into the new coaching staff? Is it worth trying? Would you go for it?

No way I believe this. If Hart actually thinks Sal is a good idea then "Knoxville, we have a problem!".

Yeah I'm not saying I agree with the source... But in all honesty I COULD see Hart vying for Sal's return... as much as that disgusts me.

Hart literally said "I don't involve myself in the staffing of assistants but I hold the head coach accountable for his hires"

I do recall Hart stating he had no involvement in hiring Sal in last weeks press conference.

No way its true. When this much money is involved Sals salary definitely isnt an issue and you dont lose a guy like Gruden over a lame a$$ DC like SS.

If he likes Sal so much, he should find a place for him in the Athletic Department and allow the new coach to determine his own staff.

That was the earlier post. The same guy then posted it was done and announced this week.

Just like what hart said in presser and I believe it: he's not gonna intervene on coaching staff. He's gonna let head coach make the decision on it and he's held accountable for the hire. No way he's telling gruden to keep sal. That's not harts decision

I don't understand the whole "Gruden wants more control" thing. Exactly how much control? He doesn't want to report to the AD and just do his own thing with the program? Not trolling just curious..

true but id say that is a smoke screen..honestly think hart had a big hand in sal getting hired...honestly kinda wondering if he was hired just so they could make dooley look bad and get the money to push dooley out!! but who knows! i think if sal does stay he needs to be pushed to LB's Tho!
