The practice of Athletics giving to the schools is practiced at UT and most other Institutions
The school did not really "give back" cash to the Athletic Department
This is really an accounting trick and private donors will now cover "expenses" that used to be covered by Athletics
Please do not think that since this was announced a check exchanged hands as that is not how a major University handles the finances
The AD is BROKE which explains alot
Can someone explain how we exactly got broke?
Did they give the $$ back to the Athletic Dept. Did they explain why they took it in the first place? How does this change things for our Athletic Dept?
Can someone explain how we exactly got broke?
If you want facts, suggest you contact UT directly for specific details on UTK's financial position, rather than relying on VN message board speculation.
